Joy, nymph of love and attendent to Aphrodite, had the dubious distinction of telling hephaestus about the spell Poseidon had cast upon his wife. Once she explained why Aphrodite had spurned his love to cling all over Alpheus, the God of Fire went in search of his love only to learn she had cast herself into the abyss. Hephaestus rescues Aphrodite and the whole world feels love once more. Filled with the light of Love, Joy entertains Poseidon when he comes to visit Aphrodite in the hopes of reconciling with her. Joy takes him on a tour of the world to see all the diffferent forms of Joy there is to experience. currently she is cooling her heels and growing fat upon chocolates.
