Gabrielle, Queen of the Amazons has had quite a trying time of it. Having run into Iolaus at the Amazon village, they followed through on their feelings for one another and ran off to get married. After the wedding, Callisto came and stold her away. Having Discord keep an eye on her, en evil plot was about to unfold. They wished to use Gabrille to bring Dahauk back into the world.

Through many trials, Gabrielle was rescued only to realize that her husband had been mortally wounded. Taking refuge in the temple of Euroclise, Iolaus was healed. But the call came for Xena to go to Rome. Caesar was dead and she inherited the throne. Promising to follow along as soon as Iolaus was able to travel, Gabrielle bid a painful farwell to Xena.

Upon reaching Rome, she found herself deep in the intrigues of running the Empire. Certain that the senator's plotted her demise, Xena cautions Gabrielle to be watchful. Through it all, Gabriell learns that she is carrying Iolaus' child. Through some strange twist of fate, Love was removed from the world and Gabrielle turned quite feral. The men run off to war, Xena leaves Gabrielle in charge of the empire and she finds herself about to be thrown in prison. Fortunately love came back to the world just in time. With her step daughter, Allassandra, she is able to lay a trap for the evil senators who now are all locked in prison.

Upon the return of her husband, they patch things up form the time of no love. Running the Empire had become tiring work and as she nears the end of her pregnacy, she longs for Xena to return so she may step down. Unfortunately that is not to be. The War comnitues nad trouble arrises once more in Rome.

Her step-daughter, Allasandra, has been arrested for the murder of crassius. The only thing is, Iolaus is the one who killed him. Sending Hercules and Iolaus to the cells to have her realeased, she now must face the future knowing she may have to put her husband on trial. Seeing something wrong with her father, allassandra uses her empathic abilities to decern someone has place a spell upon him. IOlaus is aging rapidly and Gabrielle breaks things up to put her husband to bed.
